On a day that called for rain up high and crazy winds, we actually had downright pleasant conditions in Mill D today (Jan 8).
Another good week in the books. The stormed that rolled in on New Year's Day dropped a lot of snow and we got out for a great tour with lots and lots of powder turns on Thursday morning. Friday and Saturday afternoons were spent riding the lifts on the Wasatch Back. Needless to say we were excited for some human-powered skiing again on Sunday. The snow was damp and creamy but the skiing got better and better all day.
Week in review...
Thursday January 5th
Mill D Dawn Patrol - 2 Short Swings and then 3 off Tom's Hill (still made it to work by noon, which included stopping at home to take a shower!)
Friday January 6th and Saturday January 7th
Skied in the afternoon during the NASH-TAG conference with some of the out of town guests. Park City on Friday and Deer Valley on Sunday.
Sunday January 8th
Mill D Tour - Started with a short swing and then five laps off Tom's Hill.
A rare ski photo of us together (thanks Amiee!)
Blurry and in the backseat. I need some work on kickers for the camera but fortunately the snowpack is deep and there is lots of time for improvement!
