Moab Weekend

Andrea taking in views of the Klondike Bluffs

With heavy rain forecasted to dominate the Wasatch front all weekend, we headed south to Moab on Friday afternoon for sunshine and desert fun. We end up down in Moab once or twice a year, and it's always a good time. It's nice to have so many places like this within reasonable driving distance.

We stopped at the Bar-M trails for a run on Friday afternoon, which has become one of our favorite spots to run in Moab. Lots of fun, but not overly technical, single and doubletrack trails.

On Saturday we checked out a new area for running in the morning (Klonzo trail system - highly recommended) and then an old favorite for some hiking in the afternoon (Fisher Towers).

We returned to Bar-M for another run on Sunday morning, then biked/hiked up to the Klondike Bluffs overlook in the afternoon, which was our favorite part of the weekend.

Photos - first, Fisher Towers...

Bike ride to the Klondike Bluffs... most of it was on fun slickrock...

The overlook was sensational...
