One Night Stand

This might have been the only week of this entire season to date that we only got out and skied one day. Fortunately, it was one of the best days of the season!

The NW flow hose turned on once again and dropped 20" overnight in the Alta vicinity. A one night stand with winter, in the middle of an unseasonably warm spring. We skied this morning (April 9th) in the Emma Ridge zone, and it kept snowing all morning, probably raising the storm total to a solid two feet. It was cold, blower, bottomless, and so much fun. The sound that came out of my mouth at the end of Andrea's video explains it all.

When you get a big powder day in mid-April, you just enjoy it. It could be 8 months before we ski this kind of snow again. Or maybe again next weekend if we're lucky :-)
