Spring Break Hosting

Spring break hosting week. Sunshine, groomers, and some fresh snow. As it stands right now (Sunday April 2nd), the mid-mountain depth at Alta is sitting at 127". Hopefully we can ride out triple-digits through the next month (or ideally... Memorial Day).

Tuesday March 28

Consistent storms are a beautiful thing. The window for good conditons is shorter with the high sun angle this time of year, but its so nice to be skiing soft snow again. We went up for another Emma dawn patrol. Alta reported 13", although in hindsight we should have gone somewhere North facing as the Emma side probably had something in the 8-10" range. Foggy conditions led to a couple epic crashes (commonplace for me, but you don't typically see Andrea ever go down!)

Wednesday March 29

The cycle lately has been storm / sunshine / storm / sunshine. This one fell under the pure bluebird category. We took Jenna and Andy up to Alta for an awesome day of groomers and even timed the Devil's Castle rope drop perfectly.

Saturday April 1

Gaper day at Brighton. Enough said.
