A quick Google search for "Utah Highway 12" will reveal that this is one of the most scenic stretches of blacktop in the country. We drove from Torrey over Boulder Mountain and down to Calf Creek Recreation Area, where we hiked out to a 130 foot waterfall - not too shabby for the middle of the desert.
