Spectator Prep for Boston

Written by Andrea

Due to the expected heat, the Boston Marathon coordinators decided that it was okay for Jake to accept aid at non-official stations. This is crucial because it is almost impossible to drink out of the aid station cups when cruising at 5:15 pace! So my friends and I took a trip to Target last night to get some squeeze water bottles and sponges. We soaked the sponges in ice cold water and filled the bottles with Jake's favorite lemon-lime Gatorade (and added extra electrolytes). We made him a cute sign too with the Saucony logo - FIND YOUR STRONG!

We are planning to be at the 10k, 16 mile, and 24 mile marks. It's going to be so much fun!

I'm pretty sure that I am more nervous about this race than Jake is! It is hard to be a spectator :)
