Park City Weekend

Because the weather in Salt Lake City is HOT, Jake and I made a trip up to Park City for the weekend. It is typically 15 degrees cooler up there which makes the 30 minute drive well worth it in the summertime!

We ran at Jeremy Ranch Road on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, our favorite (challenging) dirt road in the area. Lots of cows on or near the road, but no charging so I call it a success.

Saturday was spent with lots of pool time and walking around downtown in Park City. On Sunday we went to the Park Silly Sunday Market. They have tons of stuff there - from food (lots of samples), jewelry, and crafts to art, farmers market, and live bands. Fun environment!

I think last week's action-packed vacation finally hit us because we were both out of energy after the market. We were planning to go mountain biking on Prospector's Loop, Flying Dog, or Glenwild Loop, but opted for another trip to the pool instead. Sometimes it's nice to just relax! And plan our next vacation to Jackson, WY in two weeks!! :)

  1. I love Park City! Did you seriously visit PC and not hit up the outlets for some shopping?

    1. We did (VERY briefly). I got 2 new shirts in 3 minutes of shopping!

  2. That has got to be a world record. You should probably throw the towel in on your running career and tryout for Supermarket Sweep. Remember that show?

  3. I was just in Utah and ran a half marathon with my brother on Jeremy Ranch Road on the 13th (maybe14th)! It was so much fun to have the cows be free range and just be wandering around! Such a pretty area - and was much cooler than Draper, where my brother lives!

    1. That's a cool half-marathon - we were out there that day, but after the race had already finished.
