Rafting the Snake River

On the third day of our trip, we needed something a little "easier" to do after the Paintbrush-Cascade hike, so we took a rafting trip down the Snake River with Teton Whitewater. We had scored some Living Social vouchers earlier this spring, cutting the cost in half (always nice!). Even though the morning started off rainy and overcast, it cleared up nicely for the trip. We rafted about 8 miles down a stretch of the river than was a little south of Jackson.

The water is running low this year, so the rapids weren't crazy at all - but its running with enough velocity to make it a lot of fun.

As Andrea said while we were out on the water - "Sometimes its nice to be outside and not be doing something aerobically difficult." I couldn't agree more :-)
